1 injured in crash near downtown Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson police responded to a crash Friday afternoon involving a pedestrian.

Police say the crash happened around 12:45 p.m. at the intersection of South Highland Avenue and East Chester Street, when a person crossed the road in front of traffic.

The extent of the person’s injuries was not immediately available.
