Jackson City Council’s Agenda Review Committee meets

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson City Council Agenda Review Committee met at City Hall, Thursday.

The committee discussed zoning opportunities, refunding opportunities and the capital outlay budget for the year fiscal, among other topics.

Mayor Scott Conger says the overall goal for the capital outlay is to ultimately borrow less money each year and to not have to borrow money to resurface roads.

“We have great council, great staff, they’re, we’re working all in the same direction now and want to make sure that we’re being as efficient as possible while also funding the needs and services we provide our city,” Conger said.

The next city council meeting is set for Tuesday at 9 a.m. at City Hall.
