Lincoln Courts Legacy Reunion celebrates historic community

JACKSON, Tenn. — A local community came together to celebrate a historic moment.

The Lincoln Courts Legacy Reunion took place Friday night at Lincoln Elementary School.

The reunion celebrates the Lincoln Courts Apartments becoming the first apartments built for African Americans in the Jackson community.

During the event, the Lincoln Courts Legacy organization was awarded a key to the city.
