South Side High School celebrates grand opening of new stadium

JACKSON, Tenn. — One local school can now officially kick off a new football season with a remodeled home base for its football team and fans.

Hundreds gathered Friday for the official grand opening of the newly renovated stadium at South Side High School.

In addition to new bleachers for fans, there’s a new concession stand, new press box and a running track circling the field.

School leaders say they’re excited the project is finally completed.

The renovations to South Side’s stadium began earlier this year. It’s in addition to similar renovations made for North Side High School’s Indians stadium.
