Tractor-trailer crash closes exit ramp
JACKSON, Tenn. — A tractor-trailer crash closes the exit to North Highland this morning from Interstate 40.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 5:40 a.m. Monday.
A crash report says the driver of the tractor-trailer truck was travelling west on Interstate 40 in the outside lane. A car in the inside lane attempted to change lanes, and the truck driver attempted to avoid a crash by changing to the ramp exit lane at mile marker 82.
The truck hit the guardrail, causing the cab of the truck to flip.
According to the THP, the driver of the tractor-trailer truck was not injured.
When WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News arrived at the crash, there were no ambulances in the area.
The crash report says the driver of the truck was wearing a seat belt.
The exit ramp was closed until around 8:30 a.m.
