JPD investigates Saturday evening stabbing

JACKSON, Tenn. — Authorities are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred in Jackson Saturday evening.

According to the Jackson Police Department, around 5 p.m., a woman was stabbed on the 200 block of South Fairgrounds.

Authorities say there is a person of interest, but the name of that person is not being released at this time.

JPD says the victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
