Light Rain Showers Arrive Overnight
Weather Update – 10:30 p.m. – Tuesday, January 27th
Rain is being detected on radar over West Tennessee this evening. Those showers are expected to continue to develop overnight becoming more widespread by sunrise. Most of the rain will be light but could make for some minor delays on Wednesday morning’s commute.
TONIGHT
Cloudy skies are likely tonight with a few accompanying showers. Mostly will get rain overnight, but only light rain is expected resulting in less than a tenth of an inch of rainfall before sunrise. Temperatures will drop to the middle and upper 30s by sunrise keeping our precipitation liquid – a wintry mix is not expected any longer including for northwest Tennessee.
Tomorrow, skies will remain overcast with temperatures forecast to peak in the upper 40s and lower 50s in the afternoon. Light rain and drizzle will be possible Wednesday off-and-on from the morning into early evening. Another round of rain returns on Friday to end the month of January just the way we started – WET!
