United Way announces date, speaker for First Ladies’ Luncheon
JACKSON, Tenn. — United Way of West Tennessee has announced the eighth annual First Ladies’ Luncheon is set to be held on April 8.
The organization’s Women’s Leadership Council says the luncheon is scheduled for noon at the outdoor pavilion at the Jackson Fairgrounds.
The First Ladies’ Luncheon is United Way of West Tennessee’s largest fundraiser, and helps celebrate the impact of women in the community, according to a news release.
“Though we may have to do things differently this year, we’re still eager to host this elegant event for such a great cause,” said Anita Kay Archer, Chair of the Women’s Leadership Council. “There are so many wonderful leading women in our community, and this is our chance to celebrate their accomplishments.”
Tennessee Department of Education Commissioner Penny Schwinn is scheduled to be this year’s keynote speaker.
