Police respond to disturbance at a funeral

JACKSON, Tenn– Police responded to a church where family members say they were having a funeral  when a man walked in with a gun.

Jackson police responded to Straightway Apostolic Church in the 2100 block of North Parkway in East Jackson.

Multiple witnesses who chose not to speak on camera say when the man walked into the church he pulled the trigger but did not shoot.

Family members say the man with the gun was a relative .

Police say no shots where fired and there where no injuries.

They also say this was a result of a family dispute and this incident remains under investigation.

Police say they do have someone in custody for weapons violation, however there is no further information at this time.
