6 deaths, 3 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Madison Co.

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department has confirmed six additional deaths due to COVID-19 complications.

Those patients are:

  • a 95-year-old woman, who died Nov. 23, 2020
  • a 67-year-old woman, who died Dec. 7, 2020
  • an 85-year-old man, who died Jan. 1
  • an 83-year-old man, who died Jan. 6
  • an 87-year-old man, who died Jan. 25
  • a 77-year-old woman, who died Jan. 27

A total of 219 Madison County residents have died due to COVID-19 complications.

The health department also confirmed another three Madison County residents have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed positive cases to 11,039.

Those new patients range in age from 22-years-old to 45-years-old.

There are currently five Madison County residents hospitalized, with one of those patients on a ventilator.

The health department also released statistics on patients, including zip code, race, gender, age and their health statuses.
