Additional death, 7 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Madison Co.
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department has confirmed another Madison County resident has died due to COVID-19 complications.
The health department says a 71-year-old woman died March 22 due to COVID-19 complications.
A total of 220 Madison County residents have died due to COVID-19.
The health department has also confirmed seven new cases of COVID-19 in Madison County, bringing the total number of confirmed positive cases to 11,046.
Those new patients range in age from 12-years-old to 73-years-old.
There are currently five Madison County residents hospitalized, with one of those patients on a ventilator.
The health department also confirmed a substantial increase in the number of recovered cases due to a lag in current health statuses, which was identified during maintenance on the COVID-19 database.
The health department also released statistics on patients, including zip code, race, gender, age and their health statuses.
