Martin police patrol officer receives promotion

MARTIN, Tenn. — The Martin Police Department has promoted one of its own.

Patrol Officer Scott Diehl will assume his new role as Criminal Investigator on June 1, 2021, according to the Martin Police Department.

The release says Patrol Officer Scott Diehl was promoted to Criminal Investigator by Police Chief Don Teal.

The release says Diehl has been with the department of 10 years, and with the Tennessee Highway Safety Office for eight.

The department says he will take on his new role on June 1.
