JMCSS announces locations for summer learning camps
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson-Madison County School System has announced locations for this summer’s Rising Stars Summer Learning Camp, according to a news release.

The district says more than 3,000 students have signed up for the program, which focuses on math and reading.
Camps for first through fifth graders will be at the following locations:
- Alexander
- Arlington
- Andrew Jackson
- Community Montessori
- Denmark
- East Elementary
- Lincoln Elementary
- Isaac Lane Elementary
- Pope Elementary
- Rose Hill
- Thelma Barker Elementary
- South Elementary
These locations will be for elementary grades. The release says these programs will be in operation Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. from May 24 through June 18.
Current middle school students at Community Montessori School will attend camp at their school. Fifth graders at Denmark and South Elementary will attend camp at their schools.
Learning camps for middle school students will be Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. beginning June 28 and continuing through July 23.
Those programs will be at the following locations:
- Jackson Careers and Technology
- Northeast Middle School
- North Parkway Middle School
Students who signed up for West Bemis will be able to attend the program at Jackson Careers and Technology.
Meals and transportation will be provided.
