TDOT confirms river traffic is open at Hernando DeSoto Bridge in Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Tennessee Department of Transportation has confirmed river traffic is now open on the Mississippi River at the Hernando DeSoto Bridge in Memphis.

River traffic has been closed since a crack in the Interstate 40 bridge between Memphis and Arkansas was discovered earlier this week.

The Interstate 40 bridge remains closed as crews continue to work to repair the crack, and traffic is being redirected.
