US Navy conducts shock trials in Atlanic Ocean
(CBS Newspath): The aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford completed a final round of scheduled shock trials in the Atlantic Ocean on Sunday, Aug. 8.
The Navy said live explosives were used to simulate conditions that the ship could experience in battle.
