Cpl. Daniel Todd Wallace
Cpl. Daniel Todd Wallace, age 29 of Jackson, passed away on August 25, 2021 in Jackson, TN surrounded by his wife, Maegan, and his loving family.
Daniel was born on September 12, 1991 in Jackson to Susan Hunt Wallace. Daniel, from childhood, always wanted to serve his community and be a police officer. One of the proudest days of his life was his first day on shift as a Brownsville Police Officer. He advanced quickly and was soon a Corporal where he served for five years. The last two years, he served as a training officer and mentor to many of the new officers. He received his Bachelors in Criminal Justice from Freed Hardeman University where he played baseball.
Baseball was a big part of Daniel’s life. From the age of 4 and up into adulthood, baseball was one of his passions. All of his coaches and teammates considered him a great player and teammate, especially in college where he excelled as a starting pitcher. He enjoyed sharing his passion for the sport with young aspiring players as a coach, and teaching his young daughter during her first year of T-Ball.
Daniel grew up in a faithful church home and his love of Christ continued throughout his life.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Maegan Wallace of Jackson; his two children, Abby and Colson of Jackson; his mother, Susan Hunt Wallace of Jackson; and brother, Matthew Wallace and his wife, Jenny of Memphis.
Funeral services for Daniel will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 1 pm at Fellowship Bible Church. A private interment will be held at Highland Memorial Gardens with full police honors. There will be no public visitation.
