UofM Lambuth to offer Honors opportunity to Madison Academic students
JACKSON, Tenn. — Beginning in the fall of 2022, students attending the newly constructed Madison Academic Magnet High School will have the chance to get a head start on earning University Honors experience.
The University of Memphis Lambuth, which is adjacent to the Madison Academic campus, is expanding the Helen Hardin Honors College.
As a result, qualifying Madison Academic students will be allowed dual enrollment with the Honors College.
“We know their parents will see this as a wonderful opportunity to have an early Honors experience with an outstanding University before their high school graduation,” said UofM Lambuth Dean Niles Reddick.
“All of us at Madison Academic Magnet High School look forward to growing our relationship with the University of Memphis, and this announcement regarding the admission of our students into their Honors College is just another step toward building that relationship with our faculty and students,” said Madison Academic Principal Chad Guthrie.
The University of Memphis Lambuth, currently in their third year of record enrollment, has grown from 246 students when they began operating in 2011 to 1,448 students for the fall 2021 semester.
