Gas donated to storm victims in Tennessee, Kentucky

JACKSON, Tenn. — One organization is making sure tornado victims have power.

The Tennessee State Pipe Trades Association donated almost 1,500 gallons of gas to northwest Tennessee and Kentucky storm victims.

Members of the organization raised $10,000 to provide fuel to those affected.

The devastating storms left hundreds of homes without power.

Eric Coons, with TSPTA, says the gas is more significant than just keeping the lights on.

“For heat. For people who have breathing machines that need or rely on that just to live from day to day,” Coons said.

Several members distributed the gas in both Mayfield, Kentucky, and in Union City, Tennessee.
