COVID-19 in Madison County: 1,248 new cases this week, 1 death

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department has confirmed an additional death and another 1,248 cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The department says an 85-year-old man died on Jan. 2 due to complications from COVID-19. The total number of deaths n Madison County due to COVID-19 is 319.

The additional cases bring the total number of confirmed positive cases in Madison County to 21,626.

The health department also released statistics on patients, including zip code, race, gender, age and their health statuses.
