Juvenile charged in connection to Tennessee double homicide

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Officials say a juvenile has been charged in connection with a double homicide in Tennessee.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said in a statement that charges were filed on Monday against the minor in the deaths of 59-year-old Sherry Cole and her 7-year-old grandson, Jessie Allen, at a home in Greene County.

Deputies were called to the home just before midnight on Sunday and found the pair dead at the scene.

The agency did not immediately release further information.

Prosecutor Dan E. Armstrong told The Greeneville Sun that a male suspect was charged with offenses related to the deaths, but he declined to comment further.
