1 person killed in overnight shooting in east Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. — An overnight shooting left one person dead in east Jackson.

The Jackson Police Department is investigating the shooting, which took place shortly after 12 a.m. on Tuesday in the 200 block of Lincoln Court Apartments.

Video shows the street flooded with blue lights and multiple law enforcement vehicles at the complex.

JPD is looking into the homicide.

But as of Tuesday morning, it is unclear how many people were involved. There are also no details as to what led to the shooting or if the department has any suspects.

WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News tried speaking with a few neighbors, but no one wanted to speak on camera.
