Heritage Day celebration planned for Mercer community
JACKSON, Tenn. — A special event celebrating the Mercer community is coming this Saturday.
As part of the Jackson-Madison County Bicentennial Celebration, “Heritage Days” have been planned for several individual communities in the area.
Previous Heritage Days have been held throughout the year, and the next will take place on June 25 in Mercer from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Guests will gather downtown at the Mercer Fire Station where they can enjoy displays of photos and memorabilia, a quilt show and activities for kids.
From there you can enjoy a quick walk over to the historic Ebenezer Presbyterian Church for trivia and refreshments.
Mercer Fire Station is located at 11 Sturdivant Crossing Road in Mercer.
