Mattel creates another Bowie-inspired Barbie

NEW YORK (AP) – The Barbie doll is embracing the David Bowie look again. Mattel has created a version of Barbie based on Bowie’s look in his “Life on Mars?” video.

She’s got a modified red haircut, blue eyeshadow, a powder blue suit, a pinstripe shirt, a metallic necktie and platform shoes.

The doll sells for $50 at www.Mattel.com. Three years ago, Mattel created a Ziggy Stardust version of Barbie.
