‘Charlotte’s Web’ takes the stage in Jackson this week

JACKSON, Tenn. — A timeless tale about a lovable pig named Wilbur is coming to a Hub City stage this week.

The Ned Children and Teen Theatre is presenting “Charlotte’s Web” this Thursday through Saturday.

Based on the classic children’s book by E.B. White, the story centers around a friendship between a pig and a spider who live on a farm.

The production is directed by Youth and Teen Theatre coordinator Grayson Hart and features the talents of local youth.

Performances will be held at The Ned at 7 p.m. on October 6 & 7, and at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on October 8.

On Wednesday, October 5, “Charlotte’s Web” will kick off with a special Kids’ Night/Pay-What-You-Can event with proceeds supporting The Ned’s education programs. For this special preview event, tickets will be available at the door only by cash or check. Children’s activities will begin at 6 p.m., with the performance to follow at 7 p.m.
