Howard White
1953 – 2022

Howard White was born April 20, 1953 to the late James and Josie White in Somerville, Tennessee. He departed his life at his home on October 7, 2022. Howard retired from Walmart after 28 years of service as a manager. After retirement, he loved to do woodwork and craft until his health failed.

Howard leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sarah White of Memphis TN; two sons Jerry and James White of Memphis TN; one stepdaughter, Yolanda Hill of Memphis TN; one stepson, Christopher Lyons of Taylor, MI; four sisters, Hazel Ferge and Helen Adair of Somerville, TN, Sue Childers (Don) of Olive Branch, MS and Dorothy Cannon of Memphis TN; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends and his best friend of over 20 years, Rodger Todd.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Velma Thompson, Mary Ferge and Linda White; and two brothers, William and Dan White.

Funeral Services for Mr. White will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Dennis Neenan officiating. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery at Williston. A visitation for Mr. White will be from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Sam Hill, Rodger Todd, Robert Glover, Kelvin Carruther, Chris Lyons and Terry Cannon.
