Freeze Warning Tonight
Weather Update: Monday, October 17 —
We have a rather chilly or even cold day on the way with temps hovering in the low to mid 50s. An area of sub-arctic high pressure will be sliding south behind the strong cold front through today. This will keep winds between 10-15 mph, though gusts could top 20-25 mph at times. This will create a wind chill generally holding in the lower 50s or upper 40s at times today.
Tonight:
Clear skies and strong sub-arctic high pressure will allow temps to free fall tonight, and quick. In fact we are expecting them to fall into the upper 20s to around record territory. The record tonight is 27°F (1948). I am forecasting a low around 28 so its going to be close. A Freeze Warning will go into effect at 1:00 AM until 8:00 AM Tuesday.
