Exhibit for Black History Month now on display

HARDEMAN COUNTY, Tenn. — A local group celebrated Black History Month in a unique way.

The Hardeman County Commission for Black History has launched their Black History Month exhibit.

The exhibit honors Black history within Hardeman County, as well as all over America.

Many people, including the county’s mayor, came to the exhibit to show their support.

“The exhibit is a span of history not only just Hardeman County, but a span of history throughout the United States. The first Blacks, or people who made contributions to preserving through Black resistance, which is the theme for Black History Month this year,” said Shon Beasley, a patron of the exhibit.

This is the second year the commission has displayed the exhibit.

The exhibit will continue through to March at 138 West Lafayette Street in Bolivar.
