What’s new at Floral Cakes?
New at Floral Cakes is… our Peanut butter cookie infused with SNICKERS (yummmmmy!) and March 23rd from 7pm – 9pm we will offer a different type of music experience with WRITER’S NIGHT hosted by Rita Nicole Perry.
Does Women’s History Month hold any special meaning to you?
Women’s History Month is special to me because having a entire month set aside for us says that society values Women and wants to showcase how we contribute to our communities.
Is there a woman in history you look up to or admire? If so, why?
I admire Michelle Obama because of her work ethic and her love of community
What challenges do you believe women face today that you would like to see changed?
I believe women still face the challenges of being noticed in business for our outstanding accomplishments and I would like to see this changed. We can do this by celebrating the accomplishments of all genders and races on a regular basis, and not just once a year.
Would you like to add anything?
I would like to encourage other small business owners to use their business as a platform to create programs in our community and to work with non-profit organizations to help further their mission in our amazing community. Everything my family and I do with Floral Cakes is community based, so I absolutely know that it is possible to use your small business as a platform to achieve meaningful opportunities for others.
