Jackson City Hall to host Children’s Day event Friday
JACKSON, Tenn. — The city is getting ready to celebrate children!
Jackson City Hall will host a Children’s Day Event.
Artwork and live performances from children across our city will be showcased at City Hall on Friday, April 28 at 4 p.m.
The artwork will be on display for one week.
Performances will include speeches from members of the Mayor’s Youth Council, the Thelma Barker Choir, and middle school student poetry.
“It’s very important to celebrate children, to empower them, to know that they are loved unconditionally and that we support them, we see them, and we appreciate them, because they are great members and a very important part of a society,” said Elvia Trejo, Vista for Love Your Block.
Organizers say they hope to make this a yearly event with the help of businesses.
