Brownsville native competes in national singing competition
JACKSON, Tenn. — A Brownsville native is taking part in a national competition.
Clifton Smith recently attended the third season of Hallelujah Auditions in Burlington, Iowa.
The competition consists of worship leaders from all over the United States, with each contestant afforded five minutes to speak a testimony of God’s power in their life and sing a song of their choice.
After three days of 150 singers giving it their all, Clifton was selected among the top ten to move onto the finals.
At 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, all ten contestants will battle it out at the grand finale at the Burlington Memorial Auditorium, with a $20,000 prize up for grabs.
