Slowly Decreasing Clouds
Weather Update: Monday, August 28 —
The heatwave of 2023 finally comes to an end. Cooler fall-like temperatures replace it behind the first initial cold front. The front is still quasi-stalled out and draped across northern Alabama and Mississippi. It will maintain cloud cover for the southern half of West Tennessee through the remainder of this afternoon, along with a slight chance of a spotty shower or two. Otherwise, a persistent northerly wind will slow temps to a crawl, holding afternoon high temps to around 83°F. Lower humidity an moisture will continue tracking south from th Ohio Valley, which will dive temps cooler later this evening falling into the low to mid 60s.
