Illinois fugitive located in West Tennessee

TIPTONVILLE, Tenn. – An Illinois fugitive has been captured in West Tennessee.

According to the US Marshals Service, Eric Hardy, 32, of Decatur, IL, was found on Wynn Street in Tiptonville.

The news release says that Hardy was wanted for first-degree murder for an alleged crime that occurred on September 1. 

His capture was made possible thanks to the U.S. Marshals, Lake County Sheriff’s Office, and the Tiptonville Police Department.

Hardy was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Lake County Jail.
