Mary Virginia Nix Kee
Mary Virginia Nix Kee, age 71, left her earthly cares rejoicing in our Lord and Saviour on September 10, 2023.
She was born January 20, 1952. Mary resided in Fayette County and made that her home. She received her education in the Fayette County School System and held various jobs until she became unable to work due to health issues. She was a homemaker and a single parent raising a daughter on her own. She loved her daughter wholeheartedly. Her family was a lifeline for her and she loved them dearly.
She enjoyed watching her favorite TV programs and doing Word Search puzzles. Mary was a smart, organized, focused person and she knew how to save and stretch a dollar. Her love of God and her Faith in God never waivered although she wasn’t able to attend church in later years. She attended Church of God until her health failed. She “loved to sing” and she would sing all her favorite gospel songs from the bottom of her heart.
She touched many lives and hearts and shared her testimony with others. Mary had a grateful heart and overcame much. After an extended illness and many battles, God called her Home. She was ready and she was prepared.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Penny Kee of Somerville, TN; her sister, Linda German of Atoka, TN; two nieces and a nephew she loved as her own, Ashton, Brooke and Tony; and a host of many family and friends. She will be missed and remembered.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Estell and Kathryn Nix and three brothers, Jerry Nix, Michael Nix and Charles Nix.
