No injuries after minor wreck involving school bus in Madison County

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — Thursday morning, Tipsters alerted us to a minor wreck involving a school bus in Madison County.

According to witnesses, the incident occurred on Horton Road. Photos provided by a Tipster show a red truck making contact with the front driver’s side of the bus.

According to Tim Gilmer, Safety and Security with the Jackson-Madison County School System, no injuries were reported.

Gilmer communicated that around 20 students were on the bus at the time, and that they were later checked by the school nurse.

National School Bus Safety week is coming up next month, October 16-20. Residents are reminded to take caution when traveling near a school bus and follow all laws.
