BBQ Blowout to be held October 27-28

BOLIVAR, Tenn. – The 2023 Bolivar BBQ Blowout and Music Festival returns to downtown Bolivar on October 27 and October 28.

The entire family can enjoy delicious Memphis-style barbecue, a live band, and carnival rides.

The event also coincides with Bolivar’s bicentennial celebrations.

There will be time capsule items on display as well as a proclamation honoring the county from the county mayor. 

Watch top, pro, and backyard barbecue teams compete for $25,000 in cash, plus trophies. 

The trophies are made with locally sourced wood engraved by the high school FFA skills team. 

“We are so excited to be hosting our third annual Bolivar BBQ Blowout and Music Festival. We’ve got a lot of events planned: music all weekend, carnival rides for the kids, vendors, food trucks. You name it, it’s gonna be here in Bolivar. We’re so excited about it,” said Bolivar Mayor Julian McTizic.
