Nonprofit works to honor grave of every fallen veteran

JACKSON, Tenn. – A nonprofit organization is asking for help in honoring America’s fallen veterans.

Wreaths Across America

Wreaths Across America would like to challenge individuals or their business to help reach their goal of 2,000 wreaths a year.

Some local location coordinators say that one day, every veteran’s resting place will be adorned with a wreath.

They also say these wreaths are dedicated to helping their loved ones by sending wreaths to cemeteries, monuments and state houses across the country.

In order to reach their goal, they need 1,000 wreaths by Thanksgiving.

“You can go to wreathsacrossamerica.org,” said Susan Priest, a location coordinator.

“Our focus is getting it out to everyone because it is crunch time, although selfishly, we can say we still need a lot of sponsorships. We all need them,” said Linda Smith, a location coordinator.

If you would like to participate, the price is $17 per wreath.
