On the agenda were three different amendments that were approved by the board.

First was an approval for $250,000 for a new Jackson Police and Fire public safety facility.

Second was a approval of more than $200,000 for new cameras to be placed at the entrances of city parks.

Third was $89,000 for pressure washing equipment to clean up the city’s sidewalks and roads.

“Those are things we have to do to enhance the quality of life and to keep attracting people to the city,” said Mayor Scott Conger.

Last year’s audit shows there was leftover money from last year’s budget that will help make these proposed projects possible.
