Several 2023 Veterans’ Day activities planned for Madison County

2023 Veterans’ Day Activities for Madison County:
1. November 2, Salute to Veterans Military Ball. Madison Downs Event Venue, 4506 US-45 Bypass, Jackson. 6:00 pm cocktail hour, 7:00 pm plated dinner, You don’t have to be a veteran to attend. Proceeds fund the West Tennessee Veterans Coalition Veterans Crisis Fund.
2. November 10, Bridges of Honor, 11am-1pm, various groups will be standing on Spain Rd, Matheny Rd, and Hartmus Rd bridges over I-40 waving flags and banners to honor our veterans.
3. November 10, 6:30 pm at Englewood Baptist Church, 2239 N. Highland Ave. 11th Annual Veterans Day Program featuring keynote speaker, Captain Roy Cash, USN (retired) and music by Kellye Cash (Miss America 1987), and JSCC Innovations Vocal Ensemble. Free and open to the public.
4. November 11, 11 am (line up starts at 9:45). 9th Annual Veteran’s Day Parade. Parade Marshal will be the members of Disabled Veterans Of America (DAV) Jackson Chapter 7. Opening ceremony at 10:45 am in Civic Center parking lot. Veterans are invited to participate or to be spectators. Prize for the best decorated veteran’s vehicle! No entry fee.
