Boxers duke it out for a good cause
JACKSON, Tenn.—Let’s get ready to rumble! An annual boxing match returns to the Hub city.
The 6th Annual Hub City Fight Night Amateur Boxing Show made its way to West Jackson.
This competition showcases fighters ranging in ages from 8 to 34.
Boxers were from multiple countries including Mexico, Canada, and all over the United States.
The event was a fundraiser for Team Ingram’s Rayford Collins Jackson Boxing Club.
Lamont Ingram says boxing is important because young boys deserve to have the space to express themselves.
“Troubled teens who get in trouble, but boxing gives them an outlet. Go in the ring, release, have a mentorship with coach, I guess similar to them and be able to be understood…cause boxing saved my life,” Ingram said.
The money made from tonight’s event will go towards providing free boxing lessons to children and mentorships.
