Local ghosts and goblins celebrate Halloween at the Farmer’s Market

JACKSON, Tenn.—Rain didn’t stop a local community from celebrating the Halloween holiday.

The Farmer’s Market held their annual trunk or treat event under the pavilion in Downtown Jackson.

Ghouls and goblins dressed in their best Halloween costumes and visited the vehicles of local businesses to receive candy.

There were also food trucks available for families to stop by and grab a bite, after getting their candy.

The event was important for organizers to host, so kids can remain safe.

“The sun is not shining but we’re happy to see all these shining faces! And everybody’s in their costumes and we’re all working together as a team and that’s what it’s about. The community coming together to do something fun, something safe and a free event,” said Whitney Billingsley, Community Engagement Director, Jackson Recreation and Parks Dept.

Organizers are already thinking of ways to make next year’s event better than this one.
