‘No Trash November’ cleanup dates throughout Jackson announced
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Tennessee Department of Transportation gives residents a chance to be part of the solution, not the pollution.

TDOT announces its fourth annual “No Trash November.”
The goal this year is to remove over 50,000 pounds of litter from our state’s roadways.
This is a statewide and month long program to try to get the community engaged in cleaning up the roads and highways.
Other goals include educating people on the issues from littering the roadsides.
“The issues that a lot of that comes to is roadside, litter ends up in our storm drains, ends up clogging our storm drains, contributing to polluting, and eventually a lot of that trash ends up in our waterways, which is a big problem,” said Keep Jackson Beautiful Coordinator Danielle Wade.
There are several cleanups scheduled locally throughout the month.
