City presents neighborhood improvement grants to recipients
JACKSON, Tenn. — Have you ever heard that beauty is in the eye of the beholder? What about the neighborhood?

Several organizations received grants in the Hub City to help with projects to enhance local neighborhoods.
The City of jackson’s Neighborhood Service Director, Abby Palmer, gave out the Love Your Block Neighborhood Improvement grants Friday.
Some of the organizations tell us how they plan to use the funds.

“Keep My Hood Good has received this award so that we can put a mural in our garden,” said Juanita Jones with Keep My Hood Good.
“We are getting this mural,” said Amy Richards with Hub City Blueprint Co. “We want to show exactly why Jackson is Hub City.”
Other organizations awarded with the grant include JACOA, for a mural, The Children’s Theater Company, for their “Kids with a Cause” camp, Madison County’s Imagination Library, for Dolly Day, and The Lift Wellness Center, for free yoga classes.
