59 Years of The Links Inc. in the Hub City
JACKSON, Tenn.–Members of a local community in Jackson celebrated another year of greatness.
The links inc., celebrated 59 years of being founded right in Jackson. Current members of the organization and surrounding chapters joined to celebrate this achievement.
“It feels wonderful to be a part of this celebration, and what we wanted to do was also honor our community members who do the service that we are doing. Also, as members of the Jackson, Tennessee chapter of The Links inc.,” Mechelle Moragne said.
This organization main focus is serving the community.
On Sunday afternoon, they awarded members from the Jackson community on their service to others within the community.
“We honored members who are doing health and human services, the arts, and working with young people. Our national trends and our international trends are our facets,” Moragne mentioned.
This organization has provided Jackson with events that, also helps boys and young men receive scholarships.
“One of our signature projects is the debutante. Where we work with young men in the community, to provide them with scholarships and leadership training with them as well,” Moragne added.
One of the ladies from The Links Inc., received the “Link of the year” award.
