Goodwill Career Solutions hosts job fair in Jackson for multiple employers
JACKSON, Tenn. — A job fair and community resource event was held on Tuesday.
It was held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Goodwill Career Solutions on South Highland in Jackson.
The job fair involved the employers Save A Lot and The Tennessee Department of Correction looking to fill over one hundred positions.
There were resources for those who receive benefits for SSI or SSDI and vocational rehabilitation as well.
Goodwill Career Solutions offers training, employment and education.
You can reach out for classes from computer skills, to forklift training, and resume writing courses.
“We do not just hire for Goodwill, we do not just hire those that are special needs. However, we find everybody employment as much as possible,” said career coach Christine McCrury. “If we can’t find employment, then we have resources that we can refer out and then they can assist.”
Employers were looking for dedicated people who listen well and have strong work ethics.
