Dogs rescued from vacant home in Weakley County
WEAKLEY COUNTY, Tenn. – More than a dozen dogs were rescued from what is being called “horrendous conditions.”

According to the Animal Rescue Corps, more than a dozen dogs were rescued from a home in Weakley County on Tuesday, including puppies that are only a few weeks old.
The animal rescue says the dogs were living in a vacant, dilapidated house that was infested with black widows.
And many of the dogs were exhibiting signs of fur loss and parasites.
The Executive Director of ARC, Tim Woodward, says they found evidence that several animals on the property had recently died as well.
“The people had moved away. The house was unlivable. There was no electricity, no running water, the house was full of dog feces. It was just a pretty miserable place,” said Michael Cunningham, the Public Information Officer for ARC.
All of the dogs are being transported to ARC’s rescue center in Gallatin to receive treatment before being transported to shelters to find their forever homes.
