Flag raising ceremony held for Veteran’s Day
JACKSON, Tenn. – A Veteran’s Day program was held at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital Friday morning.
The morning started with the colors raised outside of the patient discharge at the hospital.
Following this, a presentation on the military health system was held.
The story of Grady B. Powel was told. He was a crewmember on a B-26 bomber that was shot down in Germany.
He was held captive until the end of World War II. His son, who lives in Jackson, told his story.
