Georgia Susan (Putnam) Kelm
Georgia Susan (Putnam) Kelm, age 81, passed away peacefully at home from complications related to heart failure. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Georgia was born in Champaign, IL to Clyde Sr. and Ella Putnam.She was fun loving and known to many as quite a character and never met a stranger. Georgia will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
Her career as a nurse and inclination for moving back and forth from Illinois to Florida rendered job experiences in home health, nursing homes, and finally retiring from Decatur Memorial Hospital in the Orthopedic Dept.
She married Dale Kelm in 1964 and he preceded her in death as well as her parents and beloved brother Clyde Putnam, Jr.
She is survived by her children: daughters, Lisa Kelm of Jackson, TN and Shele (Ed) Gonzalez of Lantana, FL and sons Gregory (Janice) Kelm of Boynton Beach, FL, and Schae (Jill) Kelm of Forsyth, IL; granddaughters: Tara Boyd, Addison Kelm, Avery Kelm, and Aubrey Kelm. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A visitation and memorial service will be held Saturday November 18, 2023, 10am to 12:30pm at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral home, Decatur, IL followed by burial in Champaign, IL.
Since this date is her birthday, the family will be having a Celebration of Life gathering at the KC Hall in Decatur beginning at 4pm. Please join us in her honor as we all know she loved a party.
In lieu of flowers, make donations to the Humane Society of Decatur and Macon County.
