‘Moana’ comes to Chester County stage
CHESTER COUNTY, Tenn. – One of Disney’s top selling movies has made its way to a local county’s stage.
Chester County’s Youth Theatre Group will showcase “Moana,” which tells the story of a young Polynesian girl navigating the ocean accompanied by her pets to restore peace to her homeland.
This play has children from grades fourth through eighth featured. The cast and crew have been working on this play since September.
“This show is full of fun of the classic story that we know with the fun songs, but also it is so neat to see a story that we see in a movie be brought to life on the stage,” said Becky Hartle the Director of the Chester County Youth Theatre.
Hartle says it was important for her to learn the history of Moana’s character so the cast could understand the language and to appreciate the story even more.
