Gold’s Gym, Fleet Feet to host the 19th annual Turkey Trot for RIFA
JACKSON, Tenn. – With the traditional Thanksgiving meal comes a lot of extra calories.

Those who want to get some exercise before the big meal can do so by running a race then stuffing their face.
Gold’s Gym and Fleet Feet are to host the 19th annual Turkey Trot for RIFA next Thursday, November 23.
This event is a 5K run and it will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The race starts outside of the gym’s entrance and runners go a distance of 3.1 miles circling around the pavilions.
Pre-registration is open until November 22. The cost to enter is $30 and all participants will receive a t-shirt.
The goal this year is to raise $15,000 to donate to RIFA. The money will help fight hunger in West Tennessee.
“We like to take a proactive approach in our community. We like to delve into the community, bring everybody in. Gold’s Gym has been synonymous with fitness for a number of years and people can’t be fit if they’re going hungry,” said Mike Hicks, the Senior General Manager for Gold’s Gym Jackson.
For those who cannot participate in the 5k, they can donate non-perishables and canned goods by dropping off food in the front entrance of Gold’s Gym.
