Hardin County Fire investigating multiple suspicious fires this month

HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. — A local fire department is investigating multiple suspicious fires.

The Hardin County Fire Department says they are investigating four separate grass/woods fires that occurred this month near the same area.

According to the department, the fires took place along Highway 128 near the intersection of Poplar Springs Road.

The department says that the first two fires occurred around 2 p.m. on November 7, and the next two occurred around 12:30 p.m. on November 15.

In an unrelated incident, the Hardin County Fire Department also responded to One Stop Tobacco in Counce on Wednesday around 11:26 a.m. The department says the fire was brought under control after about 45 minutes and no injuries were reported.
